REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Classes are offered on an ongoing basis. You may join classes at any time, space permitting, according to the yoga pass options. For more detailed class and cost information please see the pass options and schedule.


Please note that registration includes commitment to a specific class day and time each week. This allows you to benefit from attending class with the same group of people over the session dates, and lets me know when a given class is at maximum registration. If you must miss a given date of your session, please see me to arrange a possible make-up class.
Registration will reserve your space for the given class(es) and time period you sign up for; missed classes cannot be carried over into subsequent sessions; no refunds given after your session has begun. Substitute instructors may teach classes on occasion.

Class registration accepted on a first-come first-served basis. You are registered when I receive your payment. You may send payment as a check payable to Andrea Smith, (indicate class(es) you are registering for) PO Box 6744, Ithaca, NY 14851 or give me your payment after class. Other Important Information

  • Class size will be limited to 14.
  • Classes will require a minimum enrollment to be offered each session.
  • Registered students: bring a friend to class, get a pass for a free class of your choice with Andrea. (Please call ahead to confirm space availability).
  • Classes will be offered for an average minimum of 40 weeks during each calendar year.
  • Classes will not be held during the remaining weeks.
  • Sessions dates, vacations and schedule changes will generally be posted at least 6 months in advance.
  • In the event that schedule has to be changed and this affects a year-long pass holder's ability to attend class, the pro-rated credit for unused classes will be refunded to the pass holder according to their wishes. If the instructor is unable to offer a complete session for reasons such as illness, a refund or class credit will be given.

Please note that 1-year passes expire one calendar year from date of purchase. Purchasing a 1-year pass includes informing me at the beginning of each monthly cycle which class(es) you will be attending so that I can reserve appropriate spaces in these classes. You may begin a year-long pass at any time.

 

Class Guide

Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your class begins so that you can transition gently. When class begins, I will lock the outside door for security reasons. If you arrive late, please knock softly on the bulletin board on the outside door and I will unlock the door. It is important to me and to the overall group experience that we begin each class on time: please do your best to arrive on time, but if you cannot avoid being late, please come to class anyway Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move and breathe easily. Please do not wear perfumes or heavy scents to class, as there are students who are allergic or sensitive to fragrances. You may want to bring water to drink. I will also have water available in the rear of the studio.

Illness and Class Attendance. If you are ill and believe that you may be contagious, please do not come to class. I will do all that I can to arrange a make-up class for you.

Weather Related Cancellations and Procedures:
In the case of bad weather
that requires me to cancel class on a given day, I will have a message on the answering machine at (607) 277-6575 at least 2 hours before the start time of a given class. Please call this number if there is any question about weather-related cancellations. In the event that I do need to cancel a class because of weather, students will get an extra week added to the expiration date of their pass.
